motor plus tranny swap info

soo i my friend just recenty rolled his 79 stepside and my peice of **** little 305 is nocking .. now i bought the truck off him for 350 .. mines an 87 and want to put the 350 in my truck .. i plan to just keep it a carborated motor instead of putting and intake on it and making EFI. this truck also has a turbo350 trans it while mines has the 700r with overdrive. i plan to also put that in my truck too .. is there anyhting i need to really worruy about not bolting up right .. or is this just a strieght bolt in procedure. thanks - nick

Personally I would convert the 350 to EFI and keep the 700r4. Why fight it you already have it?

the overdrive trans will be better for mileage and all i agree with the poster who said convert the carbed motor to EFI
