58-59 Truck 1/2 Ton Factory Floor Shift?
I've seen a lot of trucks, but I saw my first 58-59 with a factory looking floor shift. I saw the truck at a mechanic's shop and he said it is factory. The steering column has no shifter and the shifter itself is the long straight truck style. I'm not sure if it is a 3 or 4 spd. Was this a option on 1/2 ton non-
4-WD trucks. No pictures as the guy said it was not for sale. Let me know what you think, could it be a factory 3-SPD on floor? |

Yes they did, but it was not on the floor. The factory auto trans was somewhat more rare since back in the 50's most truck were just work trucks and most of them were 3 or 4 speeds.
