Radiused rear cab seam...
I am sure it's been done before, but I don't recall seeing it. I went ahead and started to radius the rear of the cab instead of just smoothing the seam. I think it will be a subtle change. I never even realized how pointed the rear of the cab is until I started changing things!
Hoping to find time to finish it next week.

Re: Radiused rear cab seam...
WOW...I was about to jump in your @@@@ for messing with those classic lines when I scrolled down and saw your awesome Corvette suspension...SICK!!!!!! There was a board member that worked at the PACCAR R&D center that was building a truck with C5 running gear and a six cylinder...another really great ride! I am sure you posted pics of your truck before. I need to find that thread!

Re: Radiused rear cab seam...
That is gonna be one awesome mod.It's the kind that doesn't jump out at ya and will leave anyone who doesn't really know these truck wondering,"Just what did he do that's different?"I think the best body mods are those subtle little things that improve on the factory design without screaming"I've been changed!!!"

Re: Radiused rear cab seam...
There was a post several years ago by a guy that did that. He also radiused the inner part of the roof as well. I tried searching for it but to no avail.

Re: Radiused rear cab seam...
Thanks for the compliments. And it will depend on how the truck is finished (for the magazine) I am doing all the chassis-work and metal-work. I would like to see it hit the cover somewhere.

Re: Radiused rear cab seam...
Got the pass side all finished up! Took me a bit longer than I thought... it was a little tricky to make that piece! Hopefully I will find time this week to finish the driver's side and then start the chop.

Re: Radiused rear cab seam...
Not to jack this post;
You do great work, I like the look and you definitely have put a lot of time into this project. I found this one and was wondering if you think it would be worth the money, never used one so I have nothing to compare to or know what to look for other than throat depth http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=95359 |

Re: Radiused rear cab seam...
i go to a metalmeetforum once in a while ( http://www.metalmeet.com/ ) and they tested it .
its good for starting but you wish you bought better when you use it more is basicly wat they said , the rollers are not completely treu cause the bearings where not put in whell enough think it was 0.015 or sumtin but it basicly makes bumps in the metal they sell good ones at http://imperialwheelingmachines.com/.
