I need a measurement

I'm installing new angle strips on my bedsides. Can someone who has a stepside please measure from the top of angle strip to the top rail of the bed so I know where to mount them? Thanks in advance for your help.

Re: I need a measurement

It is 16 1/2" from the top rail to the top edge of the angle.

Re: I need a measurement

Russell:
We like to make the measurement to the bottom of the angle strip in case the vertical leg is not always the same. To be safe, install the rear sill and front panel to the bed side then put a 3/4 piece of wood along the bed side over the front panel flange and the rear sill. Make your measurement down to the top of the wood and that is the same as the measurement to the bottom of the angle. By making the measurements directly on your bed side, you know the wood will fit right, not too tight and not too loose. Angle installation instructions are on the Mar-K website http://www.mar-k.com/54-72anglestrips.pdf
