69-70 Grille
I was saving this grille for a 70 truck I was building but plans have change and I'm now building a 72. This grille was purchased from GM about 3yrs a go, and was on PO truck for a little over a yr. It is not a show grille but not far from it either. It has no dents or scuffs, only very minor blemishes from bugs and road sand. It comes as pictured with inner & outer grilles, lights and end mounting brackets. $400 or possible trade for one of the following Items :
* 71-72 Grille in same condition. * Pair of 72 doors ( No rust or holes ) * Left or right SWB Fleet bed sides ( Very nice or Goodmark ) Gary

Re: 69-70 Grille
Is the inner grill NOS GM or is it aftermarket? When it was installed, was the truck kept garaged? The outer grill is anadiozd coated and once they are scratched, you can't buff or polish it out, so the condition is really important. I'm close to purchasing a 69-70 NOS grill setup, but this looks really good. How would you swrap and ship?

Re: 69-70 Grille
I do believe the inner & outer grilles were purchase at the same time but I'm not 100% certain. ( Is there any way to check this out? Part #s or something ) I can't answer if it was garaged or not, I never asked that question of the PO. If your looking for a perfect show quality grille, then buy a NOS grille from GM, there still available. If your looking for a very nice drive quality grille, mine fits that desription. I'll try and post some close-ups of the worst spots on the grille.

Re: 69-70 Grille
Close-up pic's!!! I did find this one small scratch, and one small scuff on the bottom that would be behind the bumper. You may also be able to make out what I called the bug blemishes in one of the pic's.

Re: 69-70 Grille
It's great looking, but I can complete my AC install for that much, or almost pay for my front locker, or get a newer bench seat.....
Not that it isn't worth what you want.

Re: 69-70 Grille
I hear yah, it's a matter of priority, functional things should come 1st then the cosmetic stuff. That's why I'm hoping to find someone with a 71-72 grille of the same quality to trade, that would be good for both and neither would have to spring for the cost of a new grille.
