SWB Bed Floor

Wasn't there some talk about Goodmark manufacturing one piece replacement bed floors for the SWB 67-72 trucks? Have they released it yet? Is it worth a flip???

Re: SWB Bed Floor

They are coming...it has been a long time waiting.
Goodmark will "SELL" them, but not make them. A factory, maybe Tri-Pro, will make them and then all dealers will be selling the same one.
I don't remember if they plan on having the cross braces built in or not. Cost may determine the real demand. Everyone wants one until the price comes out, then many fade away.

Re: SWB Bed Floor

The cost will be a determining factor for me. If it's too expensine I'll just go buy a sheet of metal and cut out my own bed floor. I'm planning on shooting it with bedliner anyway. I was just wondering if it was out yet and how much coin for it. Then again there is the fit-factor too. If it doesn't fit well then it's not much worth it.

Re: SWB Bed Floor

I will buy one. I know to fix mine would be a massive amount of labor...not only the rust but the bending in between braces.

Heck if it is 400 bucks or less I would think that is a good deal.

Re: SWB Bed Floor

It seems to me,they would be roght pricey with all that material.Add overseas manufacturing requiring an ocean cruise, then getting it to the customer`s locale...won`t be cheap.I wonder if they`d end up producing those stateside.

Re: SWB Bed Floor

That kinda sucks, think it would be pretty easy to do the tooling, compared to stamping a fender or hood, especially considering the rib size hasn't changed much in the last 30 years

Re: SWB Bed Floor

I talked to my buddy,Joe Dirt,about this.He said,"Dang!"
I just wish there was a patch panel to run across the back.It would run end to end,cap off the back, have the transition from flat to ribs and go forward enough to past the cross support where the rust wholes develope on alot of otherwise good floors...long or short bed.

Re: SWB Bed Floor

I've been looking to replace a bed floor for my 69, and have seen that LMC sells floors for the 73-87. Does anybody know if those will fit 67-72's(or 60-66's for that matter),or if there is too much to trim to get it to fit?
