Introduction

I've been lurking here for some time. I enjoy the forum very much. I live in Kansas and I am retired and I am pretty boring so about the truck that brought me here. It is an 87 Silverado 4X4, fully loaded with A/C, P/W, P/L. tilt wheel and cruise. The quadra jet carb had to be replaced and that was done with an Edlebrock designed for that purpose and I have added dual exhast. Here are a couple of pictures of it.

Re: Introduction

WELCOME to the greatest place on the web...

I agree - that is a NICE truck. The colors are great, and the fact that it's a LWB truck gets my vote. I love the front clip (with the 4-lamp rectangular headlights) and the red line that really pops.

All in all, one great looking ride.

Hey, what's wrong with 35s and 6" lift? I do agree with you tho, a truck like that should never see suspension mods, in any direction.

The exhaust pipes were cut off just in front of the crossover pipe on the right. Carefull cutting here as a fuel line is very close. From there is was pretty much a straight shot back to the muffers mouted just in front of the rear axle. The tail pipes were bent to go up over the axle around the leaf springs and straight out the back with 4" chrome tips.

I did a little swapping to get the work done. I am somewhat frugal (some would say cheap). The mufflers came off of a new Ford (hope that is spelled right) and they give it a great sound. I am thrilled with the result.

We would normally spell it F**d... But actually your worst offense in this case is using the word "great" in the same sentence as the "F"-word.

Of course I'm kidding here. Still LOVE yout truck.
