got a little painting done

Just wanted to post some pics of my 71 GMC 4x4 after finally getting it painted. Now I can get started finishing the interior and putting the engine together. Not too bad for a first timer..huh

Re: got a little painting done

looking nice it will start taking more shape as you add all the goodies to it, funny how it looks so bare after a paint job, until you start putting bumbers and handles and emblems and things to it, well good luck and enjoy the labor

Re: got a little painting done

It surprised me too. I painted an old honda accord with it and it turned out well especially after I buffed it so I figured I would give it a try. I still have to buff it but it looks great already. Cant beat it for $50.00 in paint and primer

Re: got a little painting done

Whats the name of the primer you used? I'm planning on a Rustoleum paint job as well. Did you use any hardner or thinner in the paint? Thats a really nice looking paint job, especially for 50 bucks.

Re: got a little painting done

I used the rustoleum primer. $25 a gallon at home depot. I thinned both the primer and color with acetone. let me know if you have any questions
