Power Steering Brackets
Just wanted to vent here. I have new motor mounts installed and tonight I went to install my power steering pump. I have the bracket itself line up with the 2 holes and the bolts in a couple threads to steady it. Well I spent a hour and a half and I could not get the bolt that goes to the motor mount in. I checked the mount and I can see a large wad of rubber that I spent 20 mins picking at with a screw driver and another 15 with a pair of pliers but I cant get that bracket to line up!!!! UUUGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH So tomorrow I am taking the bracket to a machine shop and having the hole lengthened by about 1/8 of a inch. Ok i fell better

Re: Power Steering Brackets
Well I got the bracket back today and the problem is now solved. Much easier to install. Every thing lined right up.

Re: Power Steering Brackets
I always put the motor mount bolt in first, then the two easy ones...

Re: Power Steering Brackets
I tried that for a hour and that motor mount hole and the bracket hole would not line up. I had the old mount handy and I could see on that one there was no excess blob of rubber like on the new one.
