bracket problems

I just got a power steering pump, bracket and box from a junk yard yesterday or a 74 3/4 ton. I didnt look at my bracket set up that was on my truck befor pulling the ps bracket . Well the problem is, is that the alternator bracket is in the way of where the ps bracket goes on. Im guessing that I need to grab all of the brackets off the donor and relocate the alternator?

Re: bracket problems

You will be better off to find the right brackets for the 67-72 with the short water pump. The 73 and up use the long pump and all of the brackets and pulleys are different. You would need to use all of the newer parts including crank pulleys. Heres a pis or the short pump ps brackets.
