Re: Pics of the 454
THERE IS NO F'N WAY THAT WILL EVER FIT! Kidding, at least from the looks of it, it will be pretty tight. I cannot wait to see how this turns out. That motor is freakin impressive Keep us updated. Best of luck.

Re: Pics of the 454
The only problem I see can be solved very easy. Just bring the whole thing to my garage!

Re: Pics of the 454
Nice 4x4. I don't think you'll have problems unless you're unwilling to modify things abit and seeing as how it's not exactly a stock option I don't think you care.

Re: Pics of the 454
Thanks for all the nice replies! I appreciate it!! I have been waiting for awhile to get to this point. I will keep posting pictures as I get more and more done (slow process, as I'm sure you all know). The questions will be flying as I get more and more into it also! I look forward to seeing all your projects as well. Thanks again!

Re: Pics of the 454
If the motor is mounted in the small block location, be prepared to notch the firewall. Also HEI will not clear Just make a notch here also as you already have your dist. Easy to do. We just notched (boxed) for valve covers as we used regular point dist. with Pertonix amd MSD cap that uses HEI wires.

Re: Pics of the 454
Thanks! I am going to use the stock transfer case mount location and move motor mount cross member forward. I think that's my best option.

Re: Pics of the 454
wow, that thing is so shiny it makes your vette look kinda dull! I like the gray frame with black bolt ons. What kinda paint was that? Looks good, and big! Good luck

Re: Pics of the 454
That's incredible looking!!! I agree, cut your firewall and make the room you need - that is what I ended up doing. Also added some body lift but if I were you, I'd try to go with cutting the firewall as much as possible to get it to fit.

Re: Pics of the 454
WOW!! That thing is beautiful! I think I would mount a seat to the frame and drive it like that.
