My bagged 69 c10.

I guess Ill post what Ive been working on for the past year. Its finally starting to look like something again. Im hoping to have it going again this month. Since I tore it down, I Zd it 2.875", put in a different motor and tranny, took the frame down to bare metal and painted it. Ill post up some pics of the work done and progress. Ive never posted pics of my progress before but Im gonna try to start and hopefully it will help keep me motivated.

Oh and those valve covers are very temporary, I havent got my new one back from powdercoat yet.
Progress pics that I never posted.

Re: My bagged 69 c10.

Pics of the tranny crossmember? I moved the motor to the forward holes so I didn't have to tunnel much but here is a pic. Oh and I edited my post and put the pics on seperate lines.

Re: My bagged 69 c10.

Here are a few of the rear. Its not done yet. I still gotta put the bridge in between the notches and shocks. It consists of a ***************** triangulated super lift 4-link and a backhalf.

I ordered mine 34" and 32". I was afraid 38" and 36" would be too long. Guess I was wrong Oh well, it'll still work.

If I had it to do over, the longest I would order would be 36" and 34".

Re: My bagged 69 c10.

I got mine from here.http://sachserodshop.com/
They are all Borgeson products. There are other companies that sell Borgeson products and other manufacturers that make similer products. I pretty much learned alot about the steering setup from this forum. Its pretty much neccesary so that the steering doesn't hit the control arm. Oh and thanks for the compliment.

Re: My bagged 69 c10.

It's come a long way since I first saw it on DFW minis... looking good. Is it going to Showdown or Heatwave ? I will finally have mine together by then.

Re: My bagged 69 c10.

My backhalf is 2x4 by 3/16". Yea it has come a ways since then. Do you not get on dfwminis anymore? There are quite a few people from houston on there these days. Im pretty sure it will be going to Showdown but I doubt Heatwave.

Hey just wondering how much you moved your motor forward. I just got done with my 4 inch Z and was getting ready to set the motor in. Did you still have to notch the firewall for the distributor?

Re: My bagged 69 c10.

Sorry I haven't posted in so long. Ive been in Vegas visiting the folks. I just moved the motor mounts to the front holes and everything clears, but i only Zd mine about 3". I also used the CPP tubular mounts but I dont think that makes a difference.
