Is the year of the axle stamped on the ring or pinion?
its hard to order parts when you don't know the year.

Some gear sets have a date code on them, and the ID code stamped on the pass side axle tube, on the top, between 4 an 8 inches from the cast section, should identify what year it is.

Most rings have a machining date on them. Pinions probably do too, but never had one out. The date on the ring is an approxomite date of axle assembly.
