paint question

about how many hours (booth time) does it take to paint just the outside of one of thease trucks just to spray the base and clear not including time to spry primer?

im gunna spray all the primer and paint the inside, door jams, bottom of hood, inside of bead and the hood and tailgate jams all at school in the paint booth then i want a pro to do the outside base and clear and ive got it narrowed down to two local restoration shops

I would say six hour's , not six hours spraying but you have to count the flash time between coat's , pro's like to use slow drying material

I would say 4 coats base and 4 coats clear ,
that's just my opinion , I have never actually watched a pro paint a vehicle
I know with the flash time between the coats six hour's would be enough to do it ,,

Re: paint question

It should take you no longer than an hour and a half spraying 2 coats of sealer, 3 coats of color and 3 coats of clear. Bake for 35 minutes and you are out of the booth.

Bake 35 minutes That is a total waist!! Just don't ware a resperator and Bake the entire time!!
Must be nice having a heated booth! I have to use the old Propain heaters after the fumes clear out
