Rally caps: What fits?
Tire guys are putting on the 6-lug rallys today on my c10. The wheels came with the "4x4" caps, which I don't want to use. Since it looks like anything below won't fit (Thanks for the info special-K)w/o modification, are there any pictures from the 6-lug crowd that I could draw inspiration from?

Re: Rally caps: What fits?
No,not without little screws or something. What you need are`88-up centers. If they are held on with duplex lugs, there are SAE lugs available to convert.

Re: Rally caps: What fits?
Here's a link!. These are easy and fairly cheap on ebay:http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=192488
These are available for Chebby or GMC in 5 or 6 lugs!

Re: Rally caps: What fits?
I feel your pain Captain Kneivel. If you want to use the other caps, you'll need to fabricate some type of retainer.

Re: Rally caps: What fits?
All those caps are made for car rallyes. There`s the truck application of the car rallyes that are the same other than the lug pattern,so they`ll accept those caps.

Re: Rally caps: What fits?
Cpt.,do you have factory truck wheels or Wheel Vintiques car rallyes?Rcheesem wouldn`t have had to do anything but pop those on.That`s what wheel they`re made for.I figured you had truck rallyes since you said they came with 4x4 caps.

Re: Rally caps: What fits?
I have factory rallys. Got them at a swap meet and the guy threw in trim rings and the caps. I'd throw in a picture, but the 'Net connection at work seems to be nerly dead.

Re: Rally caps: What fits?
ttt so I can keep pecking away at this:
Will these fit on my 6-lug rallys with or w/o modification (I'm OK if I have to put some screws in the back to make them stick)? I may pick them up off evil bay if the answer is yes. Thanks for hanging in there with me on this one.

Re: Rally caps: What fits?
I`ve seen these work with three small self-tappers through the wheel on front.Just let the head catch the lip.

Re: Rally caps: What fits?
so are you gonna cut a hole in the center of the derby cap for your hub locks?

Re: Rally caps: What fits?
I used 4 of the rear 4x4 caps (no hole for hub) and bought the bow tie stickers from a mid 90s center cap. They were the same size as the 4x4 stickers so they looked like they belonged there.
