1/24 Scale Reel Rides At Wallyworld
got off work early today so we loaded the kids in the blazer and headed to walmart to look around--my girlfriend likes the after holiday sales and all the easter stuff is 75% off. i headed to the toy department to see what i could find and after a little digging around pulled two of the 1/24 scale reel rides 72 black shortbeds off a lower shelf. i'll add them to my collection which is GROWING too big, lol.

I found (and purchased) 4 each of the 1:87 scale trucks and black Trans Ams yesterday. They did not have the 1:24 scale though. The search continues!

Man, I am almost discouraged from even going and looking. I have NEVER seen any at my Wal-Mart.
They didn't even have the popular JL Blazers and Burbs. I did see those at the Target a few miles away though. DLB |

I hit three walmarts tonight and found several of the 1:87, one 1:64, and a couple 1:24. I bought a couple of the little ones and one of each of the other sized. I also found two Coca Cola Blazers and bought another one of those. Quite the score, since I never find anything.
The next morning, I purchased another 1:64 and another 1:87. I saw two more 1:24, but don't have the room for too many large ones.

i haven't seen any of the JL trucks since shortly after christmas, thats cool that you found one, congrats. i found one of the DUB 1/24 scale silver 72s at a yard sale yesterday for a buck. also bought a Hurst GTO convertable, a 40 ford street rod and a 71 camaro in 1/18 scale all made by maitso. the camaro even has side pipes and old school cragers.

For anyone in the Pasadena Tx area I hid 1 1:64 C10 and 2 1:87 C10s in the Fairmont and Beltway Walmart. They are on the same side as the others but at the end of the Aisle behind a large PT Cruiser with buttons on top. I know they are hard to find so I'm trying to help us out a little. I'll post pics of mine after I eat lunch.
