Re: weld wheels
I dont have any pics of them but I do know that they look pretty good, also weld racings beadlock rims look good on trucks too. We have a weld racing beadlock on our race car, I dunno if you can see it in this pic.

Re: weld wheels
Weld makes an excellent wheel, however, I do not know where they will go now that American Racing owns them.

Re: weld wheels
American racing bought weld wheels? When did they do that, for I did not know. I guess I don't keep up on these things.

Re: weld wheels
They`ll probably get better.I had Weld Outbacks that came apart at the weld after only a short time.SuperSingles are rated @ 3,200-3,500# and for 44" tires.I had 285/75s.They only come with a 1 year warranty.I had some American Racing AR23s that I paid less than 1/2 as much for and are wimpy old cast(rolleyes). They come with a real warranty and that wasn`t needed because they just roll.American has made wheels long enough to know what they`re doing.

Re: weld wheels
Weld wheel are not what they used to be 10 years ago, I worked in the custom wheel industry for about 15 years. I don't know how there service is now that they have been bought but I do know that there wheels have become junk , poor workmanship, poor customer service, and over priced for what you get. Of course that is my opinion
Now for you American racing guys 2 questions when was the last time one of there wheels was made in America and what was the last wheel American racing made sole for racing or a race wheel for that matter???? Not to nock American racing they are the wheels I run on my trucks. Last edited by DUD2STUD; 04-20-2007 at 09:41 AM. |

Re: weld wheels
don't think weld carries 5 on 5 chevy truck pattern anymore - i called and they said that they only offer the super singles which is a truck rim with different offset - grate on the track but all 4 are warped - if you can beat them, join them - i went with AR torque thrust d's will post pics tonight if needed

Prime Wheel makes a 6 lug rim like the Draglite IIs. Big O used to have them. Not sure who carries them anymore

Re: weld wheels
ive personaly never heard anything bad about weld wheels, or american racing, but FWIW we run aero and bart wheels on our dirt track car and theyre good wheels, the tire does slip a bit on the aero wheels but thats with a tube but for street use theyre fine

Re: weld wheels
Its the way the rear quarters are cut and it sits highlike that because of the set up we have in it.
