up-late thought of sumthing neat

ok so i was working on my 81 grand prix putting new tranny in and screwed up putting the torque converter in and now i afraid i jammed the front pump and now i can't sleep so i been doin sum research on dash and door panel ideas for my c-10. has anyone ever tried doing "engine turning" on a chunk of metal big enough to make door panels or dash/glove box inserts, i know this will take long time but might be a nice custom touch any thoughts?

no help on the engine turned tecnique... however, if you didn't fire up the pontiac, you maybe ableto back it off the engine, reinstall the converter all the way in, and run it with no damage. I've done it a few times.

Re: up-late thought of sumthing neat

most of the rod guys are using the rolc schotchbrite pads with great results// depending on the piece it can be done hand held but the most uniform is with a grid on a drill press/ my personal favorite for smallesh pieces is a brass wire brush

example of hand held rolock method that a friend did
