my highlander seat is shot what should i use to replace it???

here is my truck it's pretty much original with a repaint many years ago I've been driving it alot lately and the original highlander cover is getting pretty bad I've been sitting on a towel so it's time to replace it what would you guys use to replace it i got a dark olive cheyenne seat from uncle as well as a black cheyenne seat i'll use one of them until i can figure out what to use I've heard that the original plaid is available but the center section has scroll in it which i doubt is available so even if you got the material you could only put it in a houndstooth vinyl which would look close but still wrong or should i just buy a houndstooth and let it ride? or who knows i may like one of the cheyenne seats and leave it in there oh yea i also got a parchment cheyenne seat i could use as well let me know what yall would do thanks Mike

Isn`t that the same vinyl as a 69/70 CST?

i think the vinyl is the same as a custom cloth seat like a custom deluxe would have came with but I've never seen one of those reproduced like this

Oh right.I knew I had seen it somewhere.I wish they`d make the 69/70 Custom and 71/72 CustomDeluxe covers. There`s more of them than Cheyennes and CheyenneSupers combined. Those lacey seats are comforteble, too.

Re: my highlander seat is shot what should i use to replace it???

I'd go with the original Highlander material (available from SMS Auto Fabrics in Canby, OR) and have a new cover made. If you try to just replace the existing material it will tear at the vinyl seam due to all the extra holes the sewing machine makes in the vinyl. I'm a stock guy so like the original look. In the interim, I would install that olive vinyl seat you mentioned...you might find it looks fine for now.

You're tight...it just does not look good against the lighter green...too much yellow in the lighter color.
