3904390 heads

Should I use these heads or buy some aftermarket? They are currently on my 402, but the motor seems to lack power. I was told these are good heads if you increase the valve sizes. Other people tell me after machining costs I would be better off buying new.

I want to do the Edelbrock performer intake, cam, 750 cfm carb combo at the same time I work on the heads. Any advise would be helpfull.

Here are the specs I found: 3904390 66-67 2.06/1.72 325, 350, 390 & 400 98 CC Chambers
L-34/L-35/L-36/L-68 396/427
