Instrument cluster

On my 1790 GMC instrument cluster there is what appears to be a chrome finish around the outer edge and around the guage openings. Is this just a chrome paint? What is the best way to bring it back to life.

Re: Instrument cluster

there is no cost effective way to do it, but you can get a replacement one for 35 or so bucks.

Re: Instrument cluster

It`s not a paint. With repros so cheap, replacement`s the way to go.Before that, you could send them out and get them chromed, then you would redo the black paint or color on GMCs.
