This should work right???
I'm only going to have heat in my truck on a switch to cut the blower on. So what I did was cut off the side of the AC box. Put some screws to hold the door close and fiberglassed it. Going to cover the one hole up. I should get heat from this right.
And the other pic is just how my truck sit as of tonight . Thanks JAY

Re: This should work right???
Bodyman9174,
What you have set up will work after you close the last hole. Are you doing anything on the inside air/outside air system? If your flapper door and inside door is closed, you will not get much air flow. Jim

Re: This should work right???
i couldve sworn the heater rad that the water goes into is in the big part that you cut off, since thats where the hoses run into
looks like a nice little mustang sittin there to, and did you buy youre tires with the whitewalls that wide or did you sand them?

Re: This should work right???
i would think you need a heater core to get heat.

Re: This should work right???
I studied this idea at first last month. I toyed with the same idea. Finally in the end I was concerned about it not working properly. My remedy, was I found on e-bay, a A/c delete cover that mounted over both the heater & the A/c. rather pricy I believe it was just over $100. But the install went well & it done away with that huge A/c sticking out of the firewall which was my intent along with keeping heat too. Haven't cranked it yet to see how well it works.

Re: This should work right???
The heater core is there. See the 2 brass ends. Its inside the cab.I was thinking about the AC delete box to . But IF this works it nice and small. And yup going to cover up the other hole. On the inside I'm going to have to make something up. I'm going to come off the box and run the duct up to the dash. All I need is defrost.. U can see the heater core in the pic. I think this will work. Will find soon I hope
The mustang is ok doing for someone. Had to put in the torx boxes(what a pain in the butt that was), and new floor boards.than it will be gone for awhile for a cage and fit the motor in(460) than back to me for 1/4's ,doors, fenders, and paint. Fun Fun JAY
