Re: i was bored. lots of big pictures.

i don't prefer green but to every man his own. but i have to say, that is really green and what a good body shop with a good sprayer. who ever painted it and did the body work did outstanding. it looks good man, real good. don't scratch it. and watch out with that crotch burner.

later,

junk

Re: i was bored. lots of big pictures.

thanks! i've heard that they only did that green (spring green) in 1975... it's original paint (well, 95%) with new clear. the mirrors are stock too (you can see both those on the glovebox vin tag) and i've been looking for smaller ones because these are just a bit too big for me. but there's some rust around the bolt holes for the mirrors on one door and i dont want to replace the mirrors until i can get these off and do the body work to fix the holes

no doubt about it - that's a good lookin 75. I noticed that you have chrome trim around your interior door handles. I can't find any anywhere. Do you have any idea where I can find a pair. Thanks...........

Re: i was bored. lots of big pictures.

that's original. i dont know where you would be able to find any, but i think with some of that foil paper you could do it. that's basically what all that stuff was

Re: i was bored. lots of big pictures.

I just love your truck! The green is awesome!!! Also, it's a nice blend of original bits and subtle aftermarket things. Nicely done! Love the exhaust exit point...

Is that the sport bumper on the back? Also, what other plans are in the works?

Love the bike too, evil looking.

thanks! that's actually exactly what i'm looking for after all is said and done. original but updated. i dont know if that would be classified as a sport bumper, it's just the smooth chrome bumper i got from 73-87 trucks. originally i had the step bumper (still have it) but this bumper matches the front and is much cleaner looking.

as far as other plans, i should have my stereo (in the glove box) done sometime soon. i've got 2.5/4 drop spindles and shackles/hangers that i'm finishing painting and then once i have a bit more $$ i'll have it dropped. i may tackle it myself, if i can get together with the PO (now a good friend) and use his air tools as i dont have **** for tools. after that is probably a hidden reciever with a flip up license plate. after that there's new mirrors and fixing some rust, and at the same time i'll probably do all the metal work and maybe shave the gas fill, door handles and leave all the badges/trim. again with the stock but updated look.

it will be a project that lasts years for sure. but it's my first car and i've had it now for almost 3 years and even through what i'm sure will be MANY other cars, i dont plan on ever selling this one.

as for the bike, i high sided in december and all those plastics are brand new fiberglass race plastics that i did a custom headlight job on. just can't leave my toys stock!
