OK so I need a new motor and am curious how far ahead in years can I go when picking up a 327/350 that will bolt straight up to my stock 1968 c20 lb transmission and exhuast manifolds etc..

Any year smallblock will bolt up to your trans and exhaust manifolds.

the small blocks have been the same forever as far as i know so basically if you see a good one grab it

Thanks guys. Might be getting one in a day or so. Then I can drive the old girl again and get the respect I miss when traveling down the road when they see a big ass truck coming..lol

If it comes without an oil filter it's probably a 265.The first small blocks were without.
