Exhaust Problems....
Well, ended up with a set of hooker super comp headers for the blazer which look great....but installed they are only about 3 inches in front of the tranny crossmember and thus the exhaust cannot be installed with proper clearance. I was wondering if I have to switch out my headers, or if there is a tranny crossmember I can buy that will allow the passage of the exhaust. This is kind of a time sensitive matter as I really don't like being stranded without wheels for long periods of time, and I don't like running the blazer with straight headers.

Re: Exhaust Problems....
I have a set of Hooker headers on my '82 and they end about 3-4" from the X-member.
My exhaust takes an almost 90 degree turn up for about 3-4" then almost 90 degrees back and runs out. It might be harder to do with mandrel bent pipe but if you don't mind crimp-bent then any exhaust shop should be able to do something for you.

Re: Exhaust Problems....
I think you will just have to switch them out or get some exhaust bent up. I could be wrong though.
