Van Tilt ? with pics
I pulled this tilt from a 1974 motor home. Can someone tell me why it does not have a neutral safety switch. Also I thought the van tilts were supposed to have the flat harness connector and this one has the u shaped one. Can someone shed some light on this.
Thanks Jason |

I don't know why it doesn't but I remember some of those big U-Hauls diddn't have them either. And the ignition switch the parts guys brought out were always wrong. Anyway here's a bump for you.

the harnes plug was 1/2 moon up untill 77 or so, so yours is just original, or repolaced way back in the day.
The switch was on the tranny in some of the larger vehicles. |

Thanks longhorn man.
Is it true that I don't need a neutral safety switch when I convert it to a floor shift column. Jason |

Re: Van Tilt ? with pics
depends on who you ask... I say a NSS is only needed for idiots.... but many will argue with me on that.
However, witha floor shifter, if you decide to add this switch, it'll go on the floor shifter anyways. |
