'72 - Under Hood fuses

There are two fuses under the hood (pictured below)... What are they for?

I noticed today that both fuses are trash, and my wiring diagram doesn't list anything other than "fuse". I have no idea what that wire provides power to.


On a side note, has anybody replaced the rubber holder with a newer style holder in order to use the larger fuses, or newer blade fuses? Is there any reason to use the mini fuse?
