I'm mooving... Longhorn is put on hold
As if it wasn't on the back burner already...it is going further back...I think on just a warming shelf.
Looks like in the next week or two, I'll be moving out and can't take it with me. It is safe and sleeping quite well in the driveway here, and this way I can take my time on it (even more) and get it closer to right. I know the spare cab will be on it before it sees current tags...I have no place to store the cab, and its either get rid of it, or install it and fix the minimal rust at a later date. *sigh* I'll also be without an internet connection...HUGE FRIKEN BUMMER so I won't be posting a kajillion posts on here every night...but, our own place...cool. It's only a couple blocks from here (for those who don't know, we have been crashed here at my folks house a little over a year whule under-employed since leaving the army) Not a bad little dump either...biggest place we've had yet, good school, huge rooms and a semi-finshed basement too. May be as soon as next weekend. Cool thing is here though...if any of y'all are passing through...you are more then welcome to crash/visit here in good 'ole columbus. (lock your doors though...read this one. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...threadid=24262 ) Wow...no truck and no computer at the bat cave...what will I do with all that free time? |

Good luck with the new Bat Cave. Don't worry, if it's like my place the "honey do's" seem to always put my truck on hold. Having a house always seems to keep you busy. Hope the longhorn can come home soon to.
Try to keep up with us. We might tend to get abit rowdy without such wonderful mentorship . Maybeby the time your back that STUPID steering wheel will finally come off of mine...Sheesh...bout ready just to find another column. argh See You around Longhorn..Good luck on the blazer too.

Hmmmm, update, the old man says no way in heck can the longhorn stay here...shoulda known that mom hadn't talked to him about it like she said she would...
Nope, no garage... no "clunkers" allowd...hmmm So that either chainges the story to thrash to make it semi-driveable and get some tags, or it means tow it to my cousin's house a good 80 miles away and toss it on her farm. Can't get much work done to it that way. |

Hopefully you can take your brill at least! But you'll probably have to wear pants as well. It's cool that you'll have your own place though. I know what it's like having to live with a set of parents with your wife. Seems like all of a sudden she isn't your wife, but a roommate with a ton of stuff.
I'd also offer to store the longhorn, but if you think 80 miles would be a long commute to work on it, I don't think you'd like the 1400 or so to here! Scott

Well, it's lookin like that place is falling through...never heard of a land loard who requires good credit for a little dump of a house... (it's not really a dump, but a lot less than what 90% of y'all have)
The wife said she saw an actual house around the corner from there, it was run down quite a bit (read;cheap) and it also has a garage. Been calling on that one all day yesterday, but no answer. As for all the offers on storage, thanks. You guys are awsome. And as for the blazer... look here for that crap. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...threadid=24262 Oh, and the brill is my dad's. |

Well, I just got a call from the owner...I get the key tomorow night. This is the first one...not the house with garage...he wanted $700 a month, no way I can do that.
Cool beans. Has a couple rooms in the basement too...I can see one of them getting all my extra crap too...I can see 2 GMC grills hangin up, my stop sign, all my old car articles that are framed...and the computer when ever I bring it over there. It's only a couple blocks from here, so that is cool. Was thinkin bout the Longhorn, as soon as I get the engine slapped into it, i'll get some historicle tags and limp it over there. No one can say a thing since it'll have good tags. Here in Ohio, historicle tags are a one time fee of 15 bucks (I think it's 15) But that way it'll be at my place, and no one can say a darn thing about it. |

Hey Longhornmail
Here's the 70 tags I told you about...2 left. You only need 1 for the back when you get your historical plates, I sent a xerox along with a form. If you prefer one over the other let me know, I'll mail it to you. Let me know where to send it.
