Stock wheel options codes
Hi yall,
Just wonder if anyone can help my decifer the wheel option code on my build sheet. I replaced the cover on my seat and found the build sheet between the foam and the springs. There was only about 2/3 of it left but I was curious about the wheel and tire option R68. Does the 16X8 part of it mean a 16X8 rim size and if so what do these look like? Thanks

The 750x16 is the original tire size, which would be a 7.5-16LT bias ply tire. The number 8 means it was an 8 ply tire. It probably had 16x6" split rims on it like my truck did 'cause that's the same option mine had. I don't think there were any 16x8 rims back then, the biggest I can find in the book was a 16.5x8.25.
