More baby steps, getting closer to being roadworthy.

Did a few things today. Had been fighting with the pass. side spindle for over a week. Finally got it today, got the other drop spindle installed, got the truck back on the ground....for the first time in a few weeks. I don't have any good pics of the rake yet, it's a mostly flat black truck sitting in a blacktop driveway, so it's hard to notice the rake.

Also got the booster assembled (thanks to some parts from a few board members), now all I need to do is tighten everything up, install the tie rods, idler arm and calipers/lines, and I'll be able to road test it. This truck ALWAYS had crap brakes, I won't know what to do with discs.

In the pic with the beer bottle, it's hard to tell, but it won't fit under the front bumper. Definitely lower than stock. I'm also thinking of re-installing my 1.5" rear drop blocks, and calling it good, I was going to go with the 4" drop springs, but I don't know now. Hope to get some lines plumbed tomorrow, been fighting rain for the past few weeks.

2.5" drop in the front, was going to do 4" in the rear, but might have decided against it.

TJ... if you leave the ass end up, you'll need to fill it with rubber to make it look right.
Any my opinion on that is... leave it up, fill out the fenderwells, and call it good. Esp with a stepside, rake looks better than slammed.

I agree Andy, the rake looks better on a stepside....the tires are 235/75s, so I may go ahead and do the 1.5" rear drop just to take away some of that gap. Gonna do some messing around today and see what I think looks the best.

I know your gonna enjoy it when you get done. I'd throw those 1.5" blocks in it and get out and enjoy the truck for a while. You can always go back and do the rear drop different later on.
