Tonights quickie project....
decided to paint my beat-up grill semi-gloss black . Figure that will accent well with the final color of Rustoleum's Rusty Metal Primer. Here's a couple pics of the hot rod....

the results look good / dont know your future plans but that rusty metal primer still has the fishoil base and would need to be completely removed for most automotive type paint

Truck looks really good. I've never had good luck with the Rusty Metal Primer sticking to smooth metal too well, because of the fish oil. You might want to keep that in mind, I'd hate to see you put all the time, money, and effort into painting the truck, only to have it look bad with crap quality. But maybe you'll have better luck with it than I did.

Are you talking the RMP in a spray can or the one that comes in gallon cans that can be brushed , rolled or thinned for spraying ??? I thought lots of people have been using the Rustoleum stuff for lowbuck paint jobs .....
