Red face Dumb question

Does anybody have a pic showing front bump stops to show what they look like?. What are they for?

Bump stops are just that, like when you go though something so big the spring and shock can't slow the wheel enough and it maxes out the suspension travel the lower control arm will hit the frame, and the bump stops are mounted so that when that happens it's the rubber bump stop that hits the frame, and not the steel control arm. Upper control arms also have bump stops, they are for preventing the arms hit the frame when you get a wheel in the air and the spring pulls the suspension down. Pics however I don't have, as a matter of fact I don't think I got them bump stops either - suspensions is so rusty in my truck it ain't even funny no more.

Had an H.U.A. moment (head up ass) ... you are completely right ... one lower & one upper on the front .... only one on each side on the rear.
