WooHoo!Got me one o` them pikture takers
I finally went to Target with good advise and bought a new camera.I haven`t had two dimes to rub together for a long time(long story). So,I get a few bucks and go to buy and the cashier asks if I want to save 10% by applying for a store card.Heck yeah,I figure I`m just applying and will prolly be turned down since that`s one thing that`s had me screwed up,my wife`s charging up some cards on me behind my back and I have them froze to work out repayment.Anyway, the story is,after all that waiting,I walked out w/o handing over a dime.I didn`t need two dimes to rub together all along.Of course, they prolly weren`t offering it back in winter when I needed it most.
This was supposed to be about showing my first shots... Here`s one of my GMC with the aluminum rims: Here`s a couple of my Highlander with the lift and tires: And,here`s my`71 wrecker I got in a swap for some siding and trim work. The guy wanted stupid money for it($4,000).I have $1,000 in materials and some time.He lives a few hundred feet up my road. So,it was real easy tohop over there and chip away at the work when I had some time:

Re: WooHoo!Got me one o` them pikture takers
Sure some good looking vehicles you have there. I like the scenery in the background. I live out here in the flatlands of Southeast Missouri and miss the hills and mountains.
I would really like to have a wrecker, but so far I have not been able to find one around here. My collection only consits of the ole C-10 farm truck. Thank you for sharing the pictures with us. Danny - SEMO |

Re: WooHoo!Got me one o` them pikture takers
Nice pictures. I understand the why but hope for another way out about the for sale signs on the GMC and the Highlander. Great deal on the wrecker. The only way I could ever get a deal was to work something out. Great about the store card . I have a Lowes card in my pocket that was used 1 time. I went in to buy my Cub Cadet mower with cash in my pocket. The clerk asked if I had a Lowes card and that I could save $200 by applying for one. Just took a few miniutes and saved me some money. Guess I need to go shopping more often. Just keep digging buddy and you'll be back on top in no time.

Re: WooHoo!Got me one o` them pikture takers
Tow-mater...not bad. It`s the right color.I got a Canon A560.Yeah,Mike,I need to grab a vendor spot for the truck show.Let`s talk.I figure at least 3 if it`s available together.VT(and all),the wrecker is solid. It`s a 1/2t body-swap from awhile back.It has new inner fenders and core support. No rust in the bed at all.The chrome Budds are from my old`70 CustomCamper that I sold this guy a few years ago.I had chromed the SR west coasts but they`re gone.He trashed the ones that were on this because he doesn`t like big mirrors. Then,he boogered up the driver`s door holding it open backing up.Makes you wonder why you need good mirrors one a truck intended to spend alot of time backing up,ya think? He said it had a 327,it`s a 350.I wanted to put the 327 in my`67 shortbed project.I have a line on a fresh-built 454 from a guy that wants the CheyenneSuper project in the background(mostly red oxide). He need to sell a`62 Starfire to get the truck.I think I`ll offer a trade for the 454.This all happened yesterday. Thanks for the compliments and the best wishes. It means alot.I`m just trying to hang onto what I can, mainly the house.I started this deal on the wrecker before the poo hit the fan or I would have passed. But,I have a shop up the road about 20mi.I need a way to transport back and forth.Especially without my girly.

Hey Tim, when you come down for the get together at the end of the month, you can leave the wrecker and those Hurricane wheels here...

Re: WooHoo!Got me one o` them pikture takers
Sure thing,Chuck.Did you want a 454 or just leave as is?I`ll try to get the wheels all perfect for you, too.
I want to check, but I`m guessin` 5:13s in the rear.I really like that thing.I wish the door was better. It`s one of those change it and have a different color(don`t think I can match it)or live with some dents on an otherwise straight truck.I wish the d/a had just left the mirrors on.I have a set I got from Teeitup last year knowing this truck was coming my way. In my perfect world,I`d have a 67/72 wrecker,frame-mount camper, and dump truck.Of course,at leat one of each of the little bretheren.I really want a C/50 or 60 rollback to haul the others. Then, there`d be the semi car carrier so I could bring 5 or so with me when I travel.
