72 Grill Question?

On the Outer Grill, was the headlight area beneath the bezels all black from the factory, or was there just a black line around them? I

Thanks. I've noticed many vendors advertising GM originals but the picture looks like its all black.

Wasn't it just the 71 that had the black trim? I thought that the 72 grill had no black paint?

My 71 is trimmed in black.

72 is black around the bezels, 71 has the bezels AND top above the grille. I kinda like the 71 look a little better. What I don't like to see is when someone has it rechromed and it's ALL shiny. Just doesn't look right.

i like when the line around the bezel is black and the bezel itself is black so you get a line of silver inbetween balck and the headlight sticks out more to
