Talking how far upside down am I ?

I see these post's all the time and I know you should not worry about it because for most of us the truck's are our hobby (MINE IS FOR SURE) but you still have to be mindfull of the finance ! anyway I have probably about
$7K in my truck and that will probably be $8K once the interior and other stuff is done , most of you I guess have seen all the pic's along the way on me fixing it up , it was a solid original paint truck when I got it last sept , I figure it's worth in the ballpark of $6K , don't delete this post cause my truck AIN'T FOR SALE PERIOD ! I am just curious to what replie's will be made and don't worry say what you think I know that most don't aprove of the all stock theme I have going on and most prefer highly modified truck's , mine is what it is ,,,, anyway go for it let's hear what you think !!!!!!!!

six banger (3ontree) 12 bolt 3.73 posi no rust ! no where ! what little it had is gone ! no option's

Can't give you an idea of what it's worth, but I LOVE your truck. Looks awesome. Stock makes it stand out IMO. Very nice job. When are you doing the interior?

Re: how far upside down am I ?

Look in my sig for my build thread. My truck wasn't done and the insurance company is giving me a check for over $10,000. If I were you, I'd get it appraised for insurance purposes.

Re: how far upside down am I ?

Yes i would get it appraised by your insurance company. That should tell you what shes worth. Yes everyone does there trucks the way they want them. Modified all the time. Yours is stock. It looks just awesome!!! I would think it would be worth a good amount. I cant tell you how much because im use to beaters. Not nice trucks like yours.

Re: how far upside down am I ?

Don't get it insured by your insurance company... they would benifit if they low balled the value.
In hemmings, you can find apraisal companies... assuming your local yellow pages don't. Even if you spend 150 bucks, it's well worth it.
I would say if you were willing to sit on it for a while, and advertised at the right places... you could get over 10K.

The Jan/Apr 2007 NADA Classic, Collectible, And Special Interest car and truck appraisal guide I have shows...

1967 C10 PU 1/2 ton Fleetside Shortbed
weight 3280lbs MSRP new $2221 / low $7725 avg $14550 high $28000

I'd guess you're OK at $8k.

BTW...it does show to deduct 10% for a 6cyl.

that's pretty cool I had not thought of that ,,
yea the six cylinder deduct's I knew that just like an automatic transsmision
I had looked up my 67 RS camaro and the auto transsmision takes $3000 buck's off the value of my camaro !!
for me I actually searched for a six cylinder truck because my dad bought one new and it was the first vehicle I ever drove and my first truck was a 250 six cylinder and that engine was the only good thing on the truck !!!!!

Re: how far upside down am I ?

Very nice truck .... sweet. It makes me want to have one like yours sitting right along side of mine (which is more of a hot rod.) When your truck is finished there is no reason why you should not be in the $15000.00 range at least. Anyone that has built a truck knows the money and effort it takes to complete a truck. Looking forward to the interior shots .... keep them coming.

esll.

If there is someone in this world that doesn't think your truck is totally cool, they need their head examined.

On second thought, just lock up the nutcase & throw away the key

I'm not sure what it would sell for, but surely more than you have in it. I love it just the way it is- I think the white grille & such looks great with the stock rims & caps. I don't think it would look right with chrome bumpers & grill.

Re: how far upside down am I ?

I would think your REALLY COOL STOCK Truck w/ the 6 cyl, could fetch a
' pretty penny = $$$ ". , Because it's so STOCK & so neat looking.
Not to hyjack this threat but today I saw a cherry black-71-72 Maveric.
Looking back at the 60's & 70's those were the days of really stylish rides. as all the auctions & THIS SITE show .
I bet you ( like everyone else driving their mid-60 vehicle ) have a smile going on !!
Really nice ride..

Re: how far upside down am I ?

If she is as nice in person as in the pics (and I'm sure it is, I watched your other threads) I'd have no problem paying 10K for your truck (if I could ever get that much at once ) I'd be willing to bet you could get 10-12K+ on ebay.

VERY NICE JOB!

The reason a lot of people don't get their money back is because they farm out paint and body and have a 4-10K+ bodyshop bill. I did my truck as well, and although its NOWHERE near as nice as yours, I too, have about 7K in my truck. Although, I do have a 350/700R4, PDB, and vintage air (well, very soon at least!)

Re: how far upside down am I ?

I have at least $15k in my truck and it's not even painted yet. I've thrown a lot of dough at the engine/drivetrain. I think your truck is amazing. I have always wanted a stocker just like that. That thing to the right person could be worth $15k-$20k easy if not more.

Re: how far upside down am I ?

I think it would be really awesome if at the next SEMA / GOODGUYS, etc ,
show - if they mocked up ' a 1967 Chevrolet/ or Ford/ Chysler etc, dealer show room complete with unmolested vehicles like yours w/models in period clothes, posters, desks etc. " to really show how unique the model years are.

Re: how far upside down am I ?

I can really relate to your truck. I have my dad's truck that he bought new in 1968. My older brother and two older sisters learned to drive it too. But with all the awsome build threads, I really appreciate these types of trucks. I pulled up next to a beautiful red shortbed this weekend, had the factory air and a big block and a cam that was shaking the pavement. I could barely hear him talk. My little three on the tree and I grinned when he pulled away and he was about a 1/4 mile down the road before I let my clutch out. He probably didn't even hit two grand on the tach.

Speaking of a clutch, I finally tracked down my squeak. I always thought it was the spring. It was coming up from the bottom pushrod into the upper pushrod inside the engine bay.

With no more rattle in the windows and no more squeaky clutch I don't know how to act.

I would also like to get mine appraised, as I have no idea what it would sell for. I have about $2,700 into restoration.

Nice picture there, too!
