Newbs 84 GMC Sierra

Thought I'd show off my GMC. I have owned the truck for 4 years. Since then I have been through two engines and I'm putting in a new crate engine. The first was supposed to be rebuilt but started knocking after about 6 months of daily driving. The second leaked like a screen door on a submarine, so I decided I was sick of used engines and got a new crate engine. I lowered it 4" front and 5" rear and drove it like that for 4 months. Then I took the stock coils and cut them so I now had a 5.5" front drop. I then went for airride, I couldnt get into my favorite Mexican resturaunt without scraping. Now I just air up and no more scraping. I have always had the stock 15x6 steel wheels and 225/70 and 255/70 tires. I still want to redo the rear airride because this was my first and I have some things I want to change. I'm still inthe middle of getting the new engine in and I have replace the fried airride compressor. Someday I will fix where my wife backed into the drivers fender and door.

The overhead shot is laid out. It is sitting on the wheel wells. This pic is with out wheel wells and no bumpstops. If you look at the second pic in my first post you can see my extended bumpstops. I put them where I did so the truck would not be sitting right on the ground. The rear doesn't have a c-notch and sits on a flat bumpstop the sits flush with the frame.

Re: Newbs 84 GMC Sierra

Nope 6" stealies. Yeah I like a truck to have a forward rake, I don't like the body sitting on the ground. In a low side profile pic the truck should have a little daylight underneath but not a lot. But that is my opinion for my trucks.

Okay so I ran out to the shop and got a couple more pics.
