Frame Identification
I've searched the forums and can't find any information pertaining to this so I'll ask again.
Where do I look to to find the id numbers for the frame under my '69? The frame has been shortened, but I need to know what it was before they shortened it. I've found some numbers on the passenger side frame rail near the passenger door. Are these the numbers I need? Once I find the numbers where can I look to decipher them? Thanks for the help. |

Re: Frame Identification
I have some numbers on the driver side just bellow the steering shaft. If you look just above the steering pump on the frame you may see some there. Not sure if these are the ones you need. I am not sure where to go to look it up once you find it though.

Re: Frame Identification
Heres a pic of longhorn mans finger, the # is at the end of his finger. About all it gives you is the year model which plant it was built at and part of the serial number. All my truck has is 1Zxxxxx which would be 71 model made in fremont ca.
