hood question....

my friend is building a 72 blazer, he has put new fenders new doors new rear quarters, original hood, well he has done had it painted , and when he finally got the new aftermarket grille, the hood wont close, as he told me the hood has always been about 2 inches higher in the back when closed, but all ya had to do was push the back down and it lines up great, so my question is do yall think he needs new hinges? or could it be something else, thanks for any advise and im gonna get some pics of it and postem for him over on the blazer forum, it did turn out really nice, thanks for any ideas yall have

Re: hood question....

It's either the hinges themselves, or they need adjusting, "GQ" did the same thing

Re: hood question....

Most people adjust them the wrong direction, which only makes it worse. It may sound crazy but you probably need to raisethe rear of the hinges.

Re: hood question....

open hood .... loosen rear bolts ... have someone push UP on the front of the hood LIGHTLY while hood is still in the open position ... tighten rear bolts.
