go fast, cheap, and easy with this one. either junk yard it, or cut one out yourself.

Re: Looking for this alt bracket
If you're not in to big of hurry, I'm pretty sure I have a couple. I'm 600+ miles from home right now though.
I can look when I get home. Should be this coming weekend. Keep reminding me though. I have a terrible memory...

Re: Looking for this alt bracket
Why don't you just have it welded up, at say a muffler shop or something

Re: Looking for this alt bracket
I've had it welded three times already, keeps breaking. I've looked around for another one but been having a hard time find the exact one, most won't fit.

Re: Looking for this alt bracket
dion - I have permanently fixed this same problem you are having by doubling up back to back alt. brackets and adding longer bolts. Try getting two identical type upper brackets or even use your repaired one along with another if you find a match for it. Good luck on your fix, C.B.

Re: Looking for this alt bracket
I dont know if you know this there are 2 versions of the upper bracket. There is a 69-71 version and a 72 only version. The 72 version is longer than the 69-71 version. I think they did that because of the redesigned alternator case in 72. Just thought I should add this info. The 69-71 is easy to find but the 72 one ishard to find.
