Tips for sound deadner install.
Hey everyone. Ive got some ultimate b-quiet (100sq ft.) I was wanting to get some tips from anyone that has installed this stuff, Pics of a install, where to put it, that kind of stuff. Thanks for all the help! this board is great!!!

I used FatMat as well.
My only advice is to NOT try to do too big of an area at one time. I covered everything from under the rear window/rear wall, all of the floor, up the firewall, and under the dash. Purchased a 100 sq./ft roll and had PLENTY left over for the doors. If the mat appears to be too stiff, apply a small amount of heat with a hair dryer or a heat gun ... DOESN'T TAKE MUCH. Always use a sharp blade ... I went thru approx. 10-12 utility knife blades. Good luck and post some pics once your done. |

I used Second Skin Damplifier from just below the rear window, up to just under front cowl on the firewall.
I put 2 layers on the firewall and then put a layer of their Overkill over the Damplifier. Although my truck is far from being finished it made a huge difference in the way a bare cab sounds if you tap on a metal surface. Hope this helps... |
