Paint stripe option question - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

On one of our trucks the option lists an option no. D 89 Paint Stripe. When we got the truck, there was no stripe on it and we would like to know what the stripe looked like and where it was located. The original color was 51 c Medium Blue.

Any ideas?

Here's a before pic of my truck with the whats left of
the original paint and it had a painted on white stripe...

Hey, Pierce! that's the same color and pin stripe that i have/had on the 71 chevy that i bought in july.
same code # too.

tom68cst has a '68 with the D89 option, with the original paint with the stripe. And he has some good pics, too. I'm waiting for him to chime in, and I won't post his pics and steal his thunder.

Yes a 68 "Could be had with factory paint stripe" -I said that Just for you GMCBLU!
