Brake Light On Dash Stays On - Help.....

My Red Brake Light On The Dash Board Stays On Constantly WHEN ING. SWITCH IS ON . I Unplugged The Wire On The Porp. Valve And It Went Off. Any Ideas On This And Where Could I Get A Sender For My Porp. Valve If It Is The Problem. master cylinder is full of fluid also.
Thanks Again.

Is the wire cut/sliced anywhere? My temp guage wire was sliced and grounding out, causing the light to stay on. May not be your problem, but I thought I'd throw it out there.

if it turns off when unplugged, then it is working properly.
This means you have an imballance in the brakes hyd system.
Have you just worked on the brakes?

Do a good inspection, You may well find a leaking line or brake cylinder.

Re: Brake Light On Dash Stays On - Help.....

After having my brakes worked on, my light stayed on...because it was pinched between the firewall and m/c.

he said his turns off when he unplugs the wire at the prop valve/dist valve (which ever it is, he never mentioned theyear) Since it turns off, the wire is grounding at the switch inside the valve, and not on the firewall. (like when pinched)

Re: Brake Light On Dash Stays On - Help.....

did you pop the top of the master cyl and see if you got fluid?// theres a pin on the front of the combination valve sometimes covered by a rubber bubble try pushing it in while somebody applys the brakes to reset it
