88-98 bench seat in a 67-72 ?

i have a real nice bench seat and brackets from an 89 cheyenne . has anyone done this upgrade and how does it fit . the 1989 brackets mount flat and somewhat level , but the 67-72's has raised areas on thre floor .

i monted it flat on the hump on the front,the back made a 1" block to make it sit level.
