How to measure brakes for parts?

My 84 has hd 1 1/4 brakes. But I cant find out what rpo my 86 C20 has for brakes? Its been awhile since Ive had to mess with brakes. For the front I guess it would be the whole diameter of the rotor and width. Im not sure what to measure for the rear?

I have 7001-8000 GVW Range & Brake System from my Vin # according to LMC.

Re: How to measure brakes for parts?

I had the same problem....measure width of the shoes on the rear. But be very accurate b/c the differences in the three different rear brakes were very minute. The 11" brakes have 2" wide shoes, 11-5/32" brakes have 2-3/4" wide shoes and the 13" brakes have 2-1/2" wide shoes. Hope this helps
