Rear Drums on a 48
I've been slowing messing with my 48 lost cause... this thing was parked in the early 60's and sat in the woods, when i picked it up, we had to use a pulp truck to get on the the trailer as the rear wheels did not turn...
so I've been trying to get the drums off, but they will not budge... i tried heating them up with a map gas torch and hitting them with a 12# sledge.... all i did was knock the truck off the jack stands... is there some trick I'm not seeing? or is this just a boat anchor now?

Re: Rear Drums on a 48
Sometimes if you cut the nails that hold the pads to the backing plate it will loosen up the pads enough to free the drum. A couple pry bars wouldn't hurt either.
