Out for a Sunday drive....

Over the last week I've spent some time buffing the extremely oxidized paint on my truck. Hour here, hour there. Anyways, today i got the entire drive side done and decided to go out for a drive with the wife and kids.

and i brought my camera.

was on the way to a good spot to watch the sun set, and found the road to be closed. There was no way i could make it all the way around the construction and get to the spot before dark, so, i took advantage of the area around me, and got some construction zone shots. Spent a little time in PS color correcting and cleaning a couple bad spots in the paint (both are under the gas filler hole) and here we are.

Let me know what you think. This is my DD for the summer.

btw, the last pic shows what it looked like before buffing vs after.

Re: Out for a Sunday drive....

thanks for all of the comments guys.

the specs are, factory c-20 converted to c-10 by the PO. He also cut/heated coils front and back. I put new trailing arms in with bushing, 2.5" home made lowering blocks, bolt in C notch, adjustable panhard bar, new shocks all around, RE7's all the way around, vlair 460 compressor with a 5 gal tank, 2.5" drop spindles, new tierods and ball joints. the wheels are 15" steelies, not sure of the tire size.

by build thread has a lot of pcis from the build.

thanks again for the comments. with the week off, i hope to have some time to finish buffing the passenger side and get some more pics.

Re: Out for a Sunday drive....

2.5" x 2.5" x.25" square tube. there is a write up in the FAQ for it, but it didn't provide specs on how far apart to drill the holes, so i just used one of my U-bolts to figure it out.

I also pulled out the shock cross member and made my own upper shock mounts. This gave me enough room to have my 2.5" exhaust run out to the bumper. Still need to re-route a couple air lines before i get the tail pipes and tips on though.

Re: Out for a Sunday drive....

I love the photo site, those are some big pipes! You have a good eye for photography, we all gotta start taking a camera with us when we drive.

Nice buff job, too. Your truck looks great.

Hey Levi, that baby is lookin' great. Did you guys get out for your photo shoot last month or did I miss the thread? I didn't see your post in the Midwest area until it was too late.

Later,
