More leaf spring woes...
Put my new leaf springs on my 72 K20 with new ORD shackles and bushings. Definitely noticed something was wrong, like the spring eyes weren't wide enough. Looked at my old springs and found these spacers. They go between the bushing lip and the spring eye.
Funny thing is that only one side had them as the other side's leaf spring was 3" wide...so I don't have enough to reuse them, plus they are in bad shape. They are thick too, like 1/4". I am guessing I have to make new ones out of pipe?

Re: More leaf spring woes...
well if they're just used for spacing they really dont nned to be round do they?? just a piece of 1/4 plate with a hole drilled for the bolt to go thru will accomplish the same task and if you want to mold thed to the diameter of the spring eye on a grinder even better// most pipe like used for plumbing is pretty soft compared to coldrolled steel

Re: More leaf spring woes...
none here....
pipe should work as a spacer since you won't have much stress on it.... galvanized pipe is softer though....
