You cant really tell, but I paint the top and bottoms of the grill bars too.

Next up: remove the rallies, get them media blasted and paint them red!

Re: Got a little red rattle can happy!

Well I've decided to go with a completely stock 85' front end, for some reason I love the grill and I think it looks really good left stock

That fog looks familiar. Are you in the Sunset of SF?

I like the phantom grille on these, I'll keep my eyes peeled on eBay.

I am actually living in a city called Pacifica, its about 15 miles south of SF and on sunny days its nice, the ocean is about 7 blocks behind the tailgate of my truck in these pics, great view, that is when its not socked in!

Re: Got a little red rattle can happy!

I think the bezels look OK because they contrast the color of the truck.
I have seen trucks that were red and had the grill you posted completely red with the red bezels too. It looked horrible. Least of all because of all the little chrome pieces in that year grill. The key is contrast.
I am going to eventually put a 89-91 GMC grill on my Blazer. My plan (at the moment, who knows when it gets that close to completion?) is to paint the body grey and red two-tone like the picture below. The chrome trim around the grill will be the same color grey as the body, but the bezels will be red. Then get a billet insert for the GMC grill.
Oh, and I already have the red rims...
