Headlight Bulbs to Buckets
Its been a long time since I disassembled my headlight bulbs from the buckets. Can someone walk me through the steps to get bulbs back into the buckets. I need new alignment screws and cant seem to get ones that fit into the squares properly.

Re: Headlight Bulbs to Buckets
I just ordered new screws and stuff from lmc, and they worked great. If u bought new headlights, and they have a rubber seal covering the back, u have to put the bulbs in the buckets first, if there the old ones, then u can do it later. First put the retaining spring in the backing plate, whatever its called, then take the bucket and hook the top of the spring into it. It will be way off angled way up. Push the pucket down into place adn put the alignment screws in. Then just tighten the alignment screws to the desired postion, and there u go. U have to get the retaining ring and three screws to do the bulbs, but thats simple, just put the ring over the bulb and put in the three screws.

Re: Headlight Bulbs to Buckets
O sry. Theres a little hole in the bucket that the curved end of the spring goes into. I tried to get a pic but it was harder than i thouhgt with them allready installed. I drew a pic to show where the location of the hole is with respect to the adjustment screw points and the holes for the trim ring screws. Hope this helps....

Re: Headlight Bulbs to Buckets
dude...ur fricken awesome! I had it totally in the wrong spot.
OK, my next question is I see where I can get the left side retainer screw in (according to your diagram). There is a notch to slide it in. However on the opposite side the notch is not there, just a hole as your diagram shows. |

Re: Headlight Bulbs to Buckets
For the other adjustment screw, there should be a notch and a hole on the same flange like in the diagram up by the top. The two adjustment screws are supposed to be 90 degrees away from one another, then the spring goes almost like 130 degrees away from those.
ol Curt: The lamps are straight from LMC, their like 40 bucks a piece, then they have blue bulbs installed in em... Brad

Re: Headlight Bulbs to Buckets
hmm.. my adjustment screws are 180 degrees from one another. I have a slot in the bucket for on on each side of the bulb.
Yes, those are nice bulbs. Do they plug up to the standard socket? |

Re: Headlight Bulbs to Buckets
My buckets are differnt, but it looks like u got em in, right? In ur other thread for ur hood, looks good man.
Yea i think those lamps plug up. When i got my truck the headlight harness was "missing", so i bought a heavy duty one with double relays from LMC when i got the lamps, somethins still up with my wiring so i still havent seen them working....lol, nice truck by the way salazar... Brad

Re: Headlight Bulbs to Buckets
Thanks. Well I got them in but they are not in correctly. I am missing the right side adjustment screw. I will take a look at them later.
