Don't need the gears, just the posi carrier if someone has one reasonably priced. I was going to rerun the open carrier, but one of the bearing pilots in excessively worn.

i have an original 44 posi unit with 3:08s if it'll help you out, not sure if the carriers are different from 3:08s to 3:73s. $100.00 plus mail.

Is it for the front, that is the one I need. Rear is already a 12 bolt 3.73 posi

i pulled it from the rear of a 67 gmc with a dana 44. i put a set of 4x4 front axles in it to check spline fit and they are exactly the same. the carrier itself is identical to the factory unit in the front axle of my 72 super.

What condiion are the clutches in? Any noticeable signs of wear?

Sorry for the thread-jack, but do either one of you have any pics? Or can you identify this one?(on the right) I traded for it, supposedly rebuilt, and supposedly from an old chevy truck. The one on the left is from a 12 bolt truck rear.

The one on the right I am not sure but the size would suggest 14 bolt or D60

i have not disassembled the carrier to inspect it. i'll try getting some pics in the next few days. we are doing MAJOR house cleaning--inside and out.
